What can I expect during the Initial sessions?
The initial consultation (60 min.) is devoted to getting to know each other. During this time, you'll be invited to share more about your health, personal relationship with food, movement, and feelings about your body. Together, we'll create an individualized plan for moving forward.
Follow up session (50 minutes) Frequency and total number of sessions will be based on your specific needs. This appointment is to follow up on your progress, discuss the next step in healing, identify barriers, and address any questions or concerns you may have.

● Meal preparation and meal planning

How often will I need to see you?
Ideally, we like to work with you weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending upon your needs. This is something that we will discuss during the initial consultation, but the frequency and the total number of sessions will be based on your specific needs.
Will my health insurance cover Registered Dietitian services?
Will you work with my other providers?
Yes, we believe coordinating care with your other providers, and past providers is highly valuable. A release of information (ROI) must be signed before I can communicate with any outside providers.
Where are you located?
We have an office located Glendale, CA with limited availability for in-person sessions. We also provide online services throughout California, Nevada, and Oregon among other States. Please see the contact page for more information.
What types of payment do you accept?
Payment is due upon arrival to your appointment. We accept credit cards, and approved HSA/FSA cards. For in-person appointments only we accept cash or checks (made payable to: Kristie Tovar Nutrition).
