About us

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is set from a non-diet approach to wellness and recovery. We are passionate about helping others nourish their bodies, minds, and spirits in ways that are rewarding and without shame or judgment. Using an intuitive eating and mindfulness based approach, our dietitians provide guidance to help our clients heal from a variety of eating disorders and body image concerns. We understand how important it is to regain trust with your body and learn to make food choices from a place of nourishment and pleasure, rather than a place of deprivation. We are looking forward to working alongside you to help you reach your goals.

Kristie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) who helps her clients heal using an Intuitive Eating and weight-neutral approach to nutrition counseling.  Kristie provides nutrition counseling for eating disorder recovery and chronic dieting, PCOS and women’s health and digestive health.

Kriste is dedicated to supporting her clients on their journey to find peace with food and body image concerns. Providing a safe, warm, and accepting environment is essential to understanding and nurturing the relationship with food, as well as to support body image healing. Kristie will serve as a partner and guide to help you create meaningful and stable change.

Kristie received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from California State University, Los Angeles, and completed her dietetic internship at California State University, Long Beach, where she received my Master of Science in Nutritional Science.

Kristie has worked as the primary dietitian at eating disorder, substance use, and mental health treatment centers throughout the greater Los Angeles area, providing nutrition education and counseling, meal support, grocery store tours, and culinary support

Kristie Tovar MS, RDN, CEDS

I am a registered dietitian with a passion for helping clients heal their relationships with food. I understand the difficulty of living in a world centered around diet culture. I believe in a supportive, non-diet, weight inclusive approach to eating disorder recovery. I hope to guide clients on their paths toward empowered relationships with food and body movement. If you feel like food is consuming all of your thoughts and causing stress rather than enjoyment, you are in the right place!

In addition to eating disorder recovery, I have years of experience in renal nutrition, geriatric nutrition, as well as nutrition in the context of chronic diseases (ex. diabetes, heart disease).

I would be honored to serve as your partner in this journey. I provide online Telehealth services to meet your needs.
